“Caregiving and Caregivers’ Day”
On Saturday September 7, 2019, 10AM, the Visiting Committee hosted a “Caregiving and Caregivers’ Day,” organized by member Will Rogers. The theme was “Being an Agent of Healing: How do we care for seniors and other folks with disabilities or illness?” What resources are out there, especially in terms of prevention of isolation? How do we care for caregivers? Anyone at the meeting (or nearby meetings) is invited to this event, including young folks, as well as nearby organizations who offer care resources. Books on caregiving are provided on this handout provided by Sharon Waller.
Spiritual life sharing groups
IN September 2019, the Outreach and Nurture Committee is again sponsoring spiritual life sharing groups. These are groups of 4 or 5 people, meeting once per month for 6 months, either in the meeting house or someone's home. They meet for about an hour and a half at a time, sharing with one another about their spiritual lives.
